Writers once reached the magazine’s submission information through several addresses, including /pages/guidelines, /guidelines.html and /docs/Guidelines.pdf. Those old references now lead here so that a link about submitting fiction still arrives at information about its original subject.
John Scalzi’s November 2007 discussion of magazine contracts links directly to the former guidelines page. A May 2008 SFScope report describes a change to international submissions involving international reply coupons. Together, these surviving references show why the date of any historical instructions matters.
Neither reference supplies a complete, current set of submission terms. This page therefore does not reconstruct payment rates, rights clauses, word limits or editorial promises from incomplete evidence. The original PDF should not be mistaken for an available submission form.
